How Do ReStore’s Work?

Your local Habitat Restore is a non-profit, community based retail store that sells gently used furniture, appliances, building materials and supplies at prices far below retail.   So, ReStores are great shopping spots for DIYers, bargain hunters, and anyone who wants to support the Habitat mission.

Each ReStore is owned by a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.   ReStores rely on product donations from everyday folks, home renovation companies, builders, and other businesses.

The ReStore mission is to generate revenue from the sales of these products and to use the net proceeds (income after store expenses) to help the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate and other local missions.   So, your old stuff can be ”recycled” into a simple, quality home for a working American who otherwise would not ever get the opportunity of home ownership, and enjoy this big part of the American dream.

You can locate your local restore at  They all have trucks that will come pick up your gently used furniture, appliances, etc. for FREE.   Donate your old stuff and help build a house for a hard working family in need!

If you don’t have any good stuff to donate, buy some of the Handyman Hand Soap, wash your hands frequently and keep the bottle visible so you will remember that by donating your old stuff and washing your hands with this soap, you’re helping Habitat build more houses!
